I can honestly say that I enjoy playing video games, but I know that it is just a game and I would never harm someone. If anything, games are a release of that violence and anger. I have never found games to make me feel as if I need to be aggressive or harm a person. I asked each one if they ever thought of harming a person after playing games for as long as we have. In my circle of friends we are all gamers spending at least 2 hours a day playing games. Video games cannot lead to violence because game characters aren’t humanly realistic. We have been taught this since pre-school. If you harm a human in real life, you go to jail. Sure, some games have a lot of violence and gore, but that is virtual reality and there aren’t any real world consequences. Every time there is some sort of mass gun violence the news automatically jumps to the conclusion it was video games’ fault. I’m sick of the news bad mouthing video games. Since I have been playing video games with my friends for years, this is my opinion on why I do not think video games lead to violence. I’ve been playing video games since I was 4 Super Mario World was my first.
